ENESCO (Georges), compositeur roumain (1881-1955) Correspondence of 9 autograph letters or cards signed to his famous violin maker Paul Kaul (1875-1951) from March 1931 to December 1949, 6 autograph addresses: Friendly correspondence in which Enesco evokes his violin. 1931: between two trips abroad Enesco thanks him for his violin; 8 June 1931: ".... Your violin with the blond chinstrap, which I chose, is becoming a very beautiful instrument... "July 21, 1932: "... The displacement of the soul has certainly changed the sound. I liked it better before... "; April 16, 1932: "... I am delighted by the echo that the "Kaul" arouses on its passage and delighted at the prospect of soon possessing a second one... "»; 1947: «... In 1928, Kaul moved to Paris where he met Georges Enesco who ordered a violin from him, the only instrument he would play in all his concerts. A few months later Menuhin also acquired a Kaul.
