(1638). 2 volumes in one volume in folio, brown calf, spine with 6 decorated nerves (contemporary binding). Brunet, V. 589 / Quérard, IX. 290 /// I. (4f.)-508-(6f.) / II. (4f.)-448-(7f.). Counterfeit of the original edition published the same year. Title identical to the original with the figure of Sully, VVV, surmounted by a wreath of flowers, here painted in green and brown. The very rare original was printed at the Château de Sully and printed in small numbers by a printer in Angers. There are two forgeries, one of which was printed in Rouen and this one without a printing location having been attributed to it. These are the Memoirs covering the years 1570 to 1610, the continuation of which (1610 to 1628) was not published until 1662. This copy is enriched with a portrait engraved by Gaillard. Epiderminations on the plates. Rusty notebooks in volume II.
