First edition of the French translation and comments by Claude Perrault. Title engraved on copper by Scotin after Le Clerc and 65 beautiful figures engraved on copper by Pitau, Tournier, Grignon, etc., of which 10 in the text and 55 full-page or double-page. Some woodcut figures in the text. A remarkably well restored copy with a partly preserved old spine. Ex-dono manuscript on a white leaf.
