CORRESPONDENCE GRACIAN-GARROS. Set of about 50 documents. The first largely addressed to Pierre Jean Antoine Gracien- Garros (1807-1872) comprising 40 documents, mainly signed autograph letters, signed letters, business cards with autograph annotations... Dated from 1818 to 1902, one dated June 15, 1760. Approximately 90 pp. Various formats. Postmarks. It includes among others a piece signed LOUIS XV (secretary) countersigned by the marshal duc de Belle Isle (1684-1761), Versailles, June 15, 1760. 1 p. oblong folio. It grants a pension to the "Dame comtesse de Sades"; a set of letters from Louis VEUILLOT; Paul HERVIEU; SULLY PRUDHOMME; Stéphen LIEGEARD; François COPPEE; Jean RAMEAUX; a long report from the count de MORNY on the Houx factory in Le Havre etc... The second set includes 10 documents from Pierre Jean Antoine de Gracian-Garros to his wife, mainly signed autograph letters, a signed passport. Letters dated from September 1870 to February 1871. About 30 pp. in-8 and in-4. Postmarks. Family correspondence, he evokes the life in Paris during the war of 1870. Provenance : Gracian-Garros musical library.
