In-folio, brown half-chagrin, printed cloth boards, gilt edges (Publisher's binding). (3f.)-40 pl.-(42f.). Illustrated with 40 original photographs by Hippolyte Délié and Émile Béchard. The albumen prints are mounted on strong cardboard with title printed on the front, each accompanied by an explanatory text by Mariette-Bey. Handwritten bookplate of Édouard Morard. Binding damaged, first cover detached, foxing to text leaves, but no damage to photographs.
