Imposing work on the mosques of Egypt, illustrated with polychrome frontispieces and titles, 38 full-page plans and maps, and 243 hors-texte plates, most of them photographic, including 26 in color. 21 plates reproduce paintings by Alhusain Fawzy. This copy is complete with the large two-leaf map of Cairo and the Index to Mohammedan Monuments in Cairo, contained in an envelope glued to the flyleaf of the first volume. A fine copy, despite slightly rubbed spines.
