Plates for the DESCRIPTION OF EGYPT? Paris, Panckoucke, 1820 10 volumes in-folio, green or plum half-maroquin (Bindings disparate). Incomplete collection of plates for the second edition of the Description de l'Égypte. The work must have contained 894 plates. The set we present contains 778 plates, some of them duplicates: 342 plates for Antiquity, 146 for the Modern State, 230 for Natural History and 50 plates for the Geographical Atlas. The latter is complete with the 47 sheets for the Topographical Map, with the assembly map. Binding damaged, foxing and spotting to plates.
