A partially unbound copy, with a split inner hinge on the second volume. Charles-Sigisbert SONNINI. Travels in Upper and Lower Egypt London, J. Debrett, 1800. In-4, contemporary calf binding damaged. Second English edition, illustrated with a portrait engraved by Bonnel after Anker, a folding map and 27 plates. Binding damaged, one cover detached, foxing to map and plates. Inscription in brown ink on dedication leaf. Spine redone with original spine rebacked, endpapers renewed, foxing.
