On October 11, wounded Paulhan announces, I "am at the moment an airplane observer. A strange profession which consists, mounted on a hill or a cathedral, in watching the sky, day and night. []" he goes on to express his regret at no longer being able to describe the life of soldiers in the trenches during the war; on Thursday, he apologizes and wishes to reschedule an appointment.
