On April 1, he writes of his joy at seeing Jeanne in the visiting room, and goes on to talk about his future visits. He hopes to see his mother. He tells Jeanne about a funny situation: "My lawyer came to ask for my social security number [] I laughed, because I gave him my prison number and she didn't understand me at first. []" he finally mentions his tan "I'm in for a surprise! It would be original to have a chequered face! []"; on April 2, he announces that "Maria Sol" doesn't want a divorce, so he's "going to do without her consent []" he says "Today I've worked very well on my book, which is beginning to take shape, but I'll be at least a year, because ideas don't come quickly []" he mentions the director's promotion, work in the prison and an upcoming trial; on April 4, he announces some health problems "an attack of pain" so he doesn't write much. He talks about his daughter and his lawyer in Paris.
