On April 28, he announces that he is not feeling well, continues his correspondence with his mother and daughter, and finally despairs that he will not be able to write his book; on April 29, "ordinary day [] walk in my cage! no activity since alone. Nothing to say! [] Do you know that I wish all our trials were over so I could find out about you! []"; on April 30, he tells Jeanne about visits from lawyers, including "Maître Etelin, the lawyer defending Agret []". Roland Agret, wrongly accused of murder, went on hunger strike for 1 year and 28 days. He was pardoned in 1977.
