On August 5, he mentions various cases made public by the newspapers; on August 6, he announces the visit of his lawyer on her return from Quebec. He indicates that he has received all the articles on this trip (Photo-Police, Montréal Matin) and tells her "Le petit journal published my short letter in which I talk about detention []"; on August 9, "No, you're not dreaming! my angel. I've never been so close to you. [But what a surprise! I didn't make a fuss, even though I wasn't happy about changing prisons again [] I'm still in isolation, even more total than in health [] So I'm installed in a cell on the 4th floor, alone on the floor, as always, I must be contagious (sic) [] I know full well that the sole purpose of this isolation is to seek my mental destruction, but that will never happen []". He mentions a meeting with the prison management and describes the guards as "correct", etc.
