On August 12, with a great deal of humor, he describes his meals: "They force-feed me, so they hope I'll run slower, just in case... (sic sic) []" He feels at ease in his new surroundings: "On the other hand, I've got a good story to tell you: I'm going to change cells about every 10 days, and yes, security. It's the only thing that's likely to piss me off []"; on August 13, he begins his letter with his very strong feelings for Jeanne, congratulates himself on his work as a model maker and goes on to talk about his daughter's return []".
