Thérèse Bonney (1894-1978) was an American photographer. She settled in Paris in 1919 as a correspondent for Le Figaro.
Figaro, she collaborated with American and French periodicals and founded the first American
illustrated press service in Europe. Interested in contemporary design, she extensively photographed the work of
of Mallet-Stevens, André Lurçat, Pierre Chareau, René Herbst and Eileen Gray. An artist's friend and
companion of Raoul Dufy, she also photographed Maillol, Matisse, Bonnard, Picasso and Rouault, who painted her portrait.
